Biofield Tuning
Biofield Tuning is a type of sound healing that helps to relieve mental, emotional and physical stress. It does this by introducing a coherent sound into the field and allowing the body’s nervous system to begin to relax and move from a ‘fight or flight’ response to a ‘rest and digest’ response.
Biofield Tuning uses tuning forks to work with the “biofield” – the energetic field that surrounds the body. In Biofield Tuning, the Practitioner moves the tuning fork over the recipients body to perceive energy and imbalances in the biofield, but in 99% of the cases no physical contact is made.
The sound waves the fork produces restores the balance in the body’s chakras, keeping the muscles, nervous system and organs in perfect harmony. Using a tuning fork for sound therapy is one of the best techniques to achieve total relaxation. The tuning fork is a great and non-invasive healing tool.
Tuning fork therapy uses calibrated metal tuning forks to apply specific vibrations to different parts of the body. This can help release tension and energy and promote emotional balance.
Biofield Tuning is best known for helping to get “stuck” emotions or traumas out of the field and out of the body. Eileen McKusick, M.A. developed the Biofield Anatomy Hypothesis where she proposes that our memories are stored in the “cloud” around our bodies. Over the 25 years that she has been working with tuning forks, she found that the sound at the edge of the field often related to a person’s instincts and inherited patterns.
